Newly constructed condominium towers now line the streets of the area, home to many young families seeking a fresh start. However, despite their hopes for tranquility, residents report that the peaceful atmosphere has been disrupted by the roar of motorcycles that echo through their rooms—even with windows closed.

A male resident who recorded a video of the disturbance shared that the noise has become unbearable late at night. “Around 11 p.m. or midnight, when we’re trying to sleep, the sound is so loud even the children can’t fall asleep. Sometimes the noise wakes us up in the middle of the night,” he said.

Sound level measurements taken at the intersection during nighttime revealed readings exceeding 80 decibels—about the same volume found inside a subway train. This level of noise is loud enough to make normal conversation difficult without shouting.

Police have acknowledged the problem, stating that they receive frequent reports about the disturbances and have increased patrols in the area. But why do so many motorcyclists converge here?

Following the riders, it became clear that their destination was the parking lot of a nearby convenience store. When asked why they gather there, one rider explained, “Everyone finishes work and meets up here before heading out. Considering where everyone lives, this convenience store is a good spot—it’s near a gas station, so we can fill up before going.”

Regarding residents’ complaints about the noise, the rider expressed frustration: “It’s frustrating to have all bikers labeled as bad. Of course, everyone should follow proper manners.”

As the interview continued, a police car arrived, prompting the group to leave the parking lot.

Residents emphasize that they do not wish to ban motorcycles entirely but hope riders will follow basic etiquette so both sides can coexist peacefully.

“If they’d just ride normally, we wouldn’t object to their hobby,” said the resident who filmed the video. “We just want our children to sleep and to spend peaceful nights.”
