On Sunday morning, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi received a bomb threat email, prompting authorities to launch an immediate investigation. An airport official confirmed that the threat was non-specific and that airport operations remained unaffected.

On the same day, two Delhi schools—the CRPF Public School in Dwarka and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya near Qutub Minar—also received similar threat emails. Authorities later declared these threats to be hoaxes.

### Hoax Threats at Schools

A Delhi Fire Services official confirmed that bomb threat emails were sent to both schools. “Police teams, fire personnel, and bomb disposal units were promptly deployed to the affected schools to carry out a thorough search operation,” the official stated.

Despite extensive checks, no suspicious items were found at either location, reassuring students, staff, and parents.

### Recent Spree of Hoax Threats

These recent bomb threats are part of a series of hoax emails targeting various institutions across Delhi and nearby areas over the past weeks. On September 13, three Max Multi-speciality Hospitals located in Dwarka, Shalimar Bagh, and Saket reported similar bomb threats. Additionally, Hotel Taj Palace in Chanakyapuri also received a hoax bomb email on the same day. Security teams carried out comprehensive bomb disposal checks around the hotel premises as a precaution.

### Similar Threat Received at Jammu Airport

The IGI airport threat coincided with a similar email sent to a private airliner at Jammu airport. This led to a full anti-sabotage drill conducted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and police personnel. Following detailed searches, no suspicious items were discovered.

An official from the Airport Authority of India confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify the source of these threatening emails.

Authorities continue to urge the public to remain calm and report any suspicious activities promptly as the probe unfolds.
