Man charged in armed robbery at Northampton County pizza shop

An Easton man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Northampton County pizza shop last week, authorities reported.

Sean Thompson-Ferrero, 34, was arrested Tuesday on charges alleging he robbed the Papa John’s located at 752 S. 25th St. in Wilson borough, according to a police news release.

Police said Thompson-Ferrero entered the shop around 3 p.m. on November 4, displayed a knife, and told the clerk he was sorry before demanding $80. He then took the cash and fled the scene.

Investigators used video surveillance footage and tips from the public to identify Thompson-Ferrero. He was arrested without incident at his Easton home.

Thompson-Ferrero faces charges of robbery, as well as misdemeanor offenses including possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault, and theft. He was held at Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail.

Authorities noted that this robbery was one of two that occurred in the borough this month. On Monday morning, two men robbed the Penn Jersey gas station at 2134 Northampton St.
