**Jabalpur Municipal Corporation to Take Strict Action Against Illegal Colonies**
*Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh):* The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has announced it will initiate action against those involved in developing illegal colonies within a week. Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar recently held a meeting with all departmental heads to review ongoing work and emphasized strict enforcement measures.
During the meeting, Commissioner Ahirwar directed the Colony Cell in-charge to ensure decisive action is taken against illegal colony developments within the stipulated time frame. He made it clear that no negligence or carelessness would be tolerated.
Furthermore, the Commissioner instructed that permissions granted to valid colonies, where development work has not been completed within the agreed timeframe, should be cancelled, and appropriate action must be taken against such delays.
**Focus on Strengthening Financial Position**
To enhance the financial position of the Municipal Corporation, Ahirwar stressed the importance of increasing revenue sources. He instructed all departmental heads to work closely with the revenue department staff to boost income.
As part of these efforts, he directed the Garden Officer to initiate development of the Dumna Nature Park Rest House under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The project aims to provide tourists with world-class facilities similar to a 5-star hotel. The Municipal Commissioner ordered the preparation and submission of a project proposal within one week, in compliance with all applicable rules.
**Campaign to Remove Encroachments**
Ahirwar also launched a directive to remove encroachments from all major roads and market areas in the city. Officials from the encroachment department were instructed to make continuous announcements and personally monitor the situation to ensure roads remain free of obstructions.
**Comprehensive Departmental Review**
During the review meeting, the Commissioner sought updates from multiple departments including Colony Cell, Building Branch, Encroachment, Health, Public Works, Sewer, Water, Law, and others. He urged all officers to improve their performance and handle responsibilities with utmost seriousness.

In a separate event, the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation felicitated Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh for his significant contributions toward major development projects and transforming the city.
The felicitation ceremony was held at Manas Bhavan in the presence of several dignitaries. Addressing the gathering, Singh expressed his gratitude for the honor and thanked Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh for organizing the event.
He highlighted the various development initiatives undertaken in Jabalpur and appreciated the opportunity to share these accomplishments with the public.
