In lore, these colossal weapons are designed to punch holes in spaceships, but in actual missions, there has often been little incentive to switch to them due to their performance.
Thankfully, this has now been addressed. Archguns have become unique in the game because they can now use both Primary and Secondary Arcanes, significantly boosting their effectiveness.
### How to Get Archgun Arcane Adapters in Warframe
To obtain Archgun Arcane Adapters, you need to visit Nightcap, a new NPC introduced in The Vallis Undermind update. Nightcap can be found in Fortuna, but only if you have completed The New War quest.
When you spawn in Fortuna, turn left and look for a mushroom and fungus-covered grate. Nightcap is located behind this grate, in an area known as The Airlock.
By talking to Nightcap, you can take on bounties in the new area beneath Fortuna. Completing these bounties will earn you Standing and allow you to level up Nightcap’s Syndicate.
Once you reach Rank 3 in Nightcap’s Syndicate, you can use a resource called Fegolyte—earned during his bounties—to purchase Archgun Arcane Adapters.
Keep in mind that advancing through each Syndicate rank requires a sacrifice. Be sure to pay close attention to the requirements, as you will need to farm different types of mushrooms during your missions in the Deepmines.
Additionally, Archgun Arcane Adapters can also be earned as rewards from bounties completed in the Deepmines on Steel Path difficulty. Make sure to check the rewards carefully before starting these missions to maximize your chances of obtaining them.
With these new mechanics, Archguns are now more viable than ever, giving you compelling reasons to equip and customize these massive weapons for your Warframe adventures.
